TSUNAGU RESEARCH PROJECT CONCLUDES WITH IMPRESSIVE FINAL PRESENTATIONS

The Tsunagu Research Project, an international educational initiative that connected students from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Japan in a collective effort to address global issues, celebrated the climax of its inaugural event with a series of remarkable final presentations from students. The event showcased the dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit of 28 teams from 16 schools, who worked tirelessly on their innovative research projects to solve food and water issues.

The Tsunagu Research Project, which means “connect” in Japanese, aimed to foster collaboration and promote a deeper understanding of global challenges among the youth. Over the course of several months, participating students engaged in research and developed solutions to pressing global problems of food and water.

Final Presentation at Rekascape, Cyberjaya Malaysia for physical participants 

Final presentation on zoom for online participants.

The final presentations, held at Rekascape in Cyberjaya Malaysia for physical participants while online participants were joined online through zoom. This final presentation was a testament to the participants' dedication and innovative thinking. Each team presented their findings and solutions to a panel of judges and an enthusiastic audience. Research topics of food and water were covered by the teams. The presentations were followed by insightful Q&A sessions, which allowed the students to defend their research methodologies and proposed solutions.

Mark Chiam

Mark is a Bachelor degree graduate of Environmental Science and Aquaculture at James cook University. Mark helped to pioneer the start of aquaculture club during his university days where he helped to raise awareness of sustainable ocean practices through organising workshops and field trips. Currently, he is a member of the Education Development Division of Leave a Nest Singapore.
