On December 19, 2021 (Sunday), as part of the yearly Science Castle in Japan – Kanto Leg, the Tsunagu Research Project will be holding its Final Presentation Session. All 17 teams from Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore will be presenting the fruits of their research for the past half year. Participating students have been researching, both desktop and experimentally, on topics related to palm oil, which is one of the key industries of the host country, Malaysia.

About the Keynote Speaker

Dr. Takeshi Takama, CEO, su-re.co (Sustainability and Resilience)

Dr. Takama has worked as an international expert on climate change, environment, and energy as a researcher, business owner, educator, and consultant for 20 years. He is the CEO of su-re.co (Sustainability & Resilience), is a research associate for Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), and is
a visiting professor at Udayana University.

He holds a PhD in Geography and Environment from the University of Oxford as an Oxford Kobe scholar, and has 50 academic papers, book chapters, and official reports cited 638 times.

He currently lives in Bali and is fond of outdoor activities, living in multi-cultural societies, and creating arts and treehouses.
